12x2014 Private view party

12x2014 Private View Norwich Scott Poulson

Friday 23rd January was the private view party for the 12x2014 series. We hired 20 Wensum Street for the night and had a great turnout. We had to clean all our hired glasses!

I have really enjoyed the project that spanned the last year. Coming up with an idea good enough to apply to a design and then screen print was sometimes challenging. I have gained a thirst for doing more of this type of work.

I’m not happy unless I have a project going on so I will continue with the screen prints. I shan’t hold myself to producing a print every month – but I will try. The great thing about coming up with an original idea every month is that it has provided me with some themes that I would like to develop further.
The Pyramids have room to grow. The Pioneer plaque and its tattooed figures have led to me wanting to illustrate more of this phenomenon. Also the Top of the Pops print was very popular and I had thought about doing this with specific genres of music.
We’ll see what the year brings. One thing I do know; in 2015 I am going to use a square format.
