We made this - http://spineaid.co.uk
Spine Aid is a charity that raises funds to help treat disadvantaged patients in the developing world who have severe spinal problems and disabilities.
Design a visual identity and promotional website to tell the world about their work.
The work that Spine Aid was undertaking was going relatively unknown. They had no public platform to talk about their aims. We were asked to create a visual identity and a website. We struck upon the device of making a cross, a symbol of medicine and care, out of the ‘I’ in spine and aid. We also coined the line ‘The chance to lead an independent life’ which clearly expresses the aim of the charity – providing, where possible, better mobility so that the patients can lead a better quality of life. The charity currently makes annual visits to Lasaka, Zambia. The website needed to help them raise awareness of their cause and attract donations. They had a wealth of visual material (film and photography) from the trips. We used this to tell the stories of three young patients that illustrate the diversity of the problems encountered and how they are addressed.
Increased awareness of the charity and its aims.
