A commission from the George Padmore Institute in London for an exhibition at the Islington Museum celebrating the life of John La Rose, the founder of New Beacon Books, Britain’s first black publisher and bookshop. The institute has a fantastic archive which formed the basis of the exhibition and has a wealth of visual material – making this project a joy to work on.
