This was not so much a 're-brand' as a project to resurrect an institution. The Electric Palace in Harwich, built in 1911, is one of the oldest purpose-built cinemas to survive complete with its original screen, projection room and ornamental frontage still relatively intact. After years of decline and near-demolition it has been brought back to life with the help of Historic England and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The new logo is a digitisation of the frontage lettering that is 111 years old. Other visual assets were derived from features around the cinema that can be used across posters, programmes and social media, etc.
